LSU softball can't sweep, falls to Georgia, 3-1
ATHENS – The No. 8 LSU softball was unable to clinch the sweep against No. 10 Georgia Bulldogs in Athens Sunday.
Looking for another comeback like on Friday, the Tigers couldn’t get a timely hit and ended up stranding eight on base.
Despite Sunday’s loss, LSU coach Beth Torina was happy to leave Athens with a series win.
“We had opportunities to win the game today, but couldn’t perform like we needed to,” Torina said. “Overall I think we played well, and it was a big moment for our team to come in and take a series against a really good program.
