LSU students race to snag season tickets as sale deadline looms
BATON ROUGE - Students tickets for the upcoming LSU football season are nearly gone.
Tiger football fans who also attend the university have had their chance to snag their tickets since the beginning of summer, and as of the end of today, nearly 14,000 student tickets have been sold.
Usually, freshmen must enter a lottery for the chance to purchase their season tickets, but due to the fact that returning students didn't order as many tickets this year, freshmen will get the same opportunity as their upperclassmen to buy tickets for the season ahead.
Just like upperclassmen, freshmen had until 5 p.m. on Wednesday to make their ticket purchase if they want to enjoy the privilege of sitting among their classmates in the illustrious student section.
Officials with LSU Athletics told News 2 that if any tickets are left over, they'll go back into the rotation and be available to students who may have missed the deadlines but still want season tickets.
