LSU's Gordon stabbed multiple times in Tigerland bar fight
BATON ROUGE – LSU athletic officials confirmed that Tigers tight end Dillon Gordon was stabbed in a bar fight overnight in Tigerland.
Baton Rouge Police responded to Reggie's Bar on Bob Petit in Tigerland around 12:45 A.M. Tuesday for reports of a fight and stabbing. Investigators said a 22-year-old man was stabbed multiple times inside the business during a fight. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette confirmed to WBRZ that Gordon was the person injured in the stabbing. Head Football Coach Les Miles sent out the following statement Tuesday morning:
"I am aware that Dillon Gordon was involved in an incident last night that required him to receive medical attention. Fortunately, the injuries Dillon sustained were not life-threatening and from all indications, he will make a full recovery. We are thankful that Dillon is okay."
When asked if he would make any team rules changes about players going to local bars, Miles said "I'm cutting it off."
Les Miles has not talked to Dillon Gordon since last night. "I know of one guy that was definitely there" @WBRZ
