BATON ROUGE - A Grand Slam in the first inning for Mississippi State, putting LSU in catchup mode for the rest of the game.
The Tigers unable to come back, falling 12-8.
LSU did tie it up at 4-4, after scoring 2 each in the 2nd and 3rd innings. Catcher Mike Papierski using the squeeze play to score Beau Jordan to tie it at 4.
LSU falls to 26-7, 9-7 in SEC, while MSU advances to 26-12-1, 9-7.
