UPDATE: State police say I-10 has reopened near the Louisiana/Texas state line.

VINTON - State police are investigating two separate crashes Thursday morning that are causing delays on I-10.

According to a post, I-10 East is completely blocked about three and a half miles east of the Louisiana/Texas state line. Traffic is currently backed up several miles in Texas. 

The crashes appeared to involve two delivery trucks and other vehicles. Crews are using high-pressure equipment to remove slick paint from the roadway.

No word on injuries.

Alternate routes include LA 12, US 190, and LA 82.
