How do you like your 'gator? COOKED, say fans tailgating Friday night
BATON ROUGE - Ask people how they like their alligator around LSU, and they'll tell you any way you can fix it: fried, smoked, grilled, or soaked in a gumbo.
"[I add] celery, four bell peppers, chicken broth, six pounds of onion...tomato," one person tailgating Friday night said as he shared his recipe to a winning tailgate and a home game.
The LSU Tigers welcome the Florida Gators to Tiger Stadium Saturday evening. It will be the largest game of the season so far, and the tailgate crowd was out early – or late Friday night.
"I want to see a good game and I hope LSU comes out on top," fans said as they talked game strategy in a lot across the street from the stadium.
LSU reminded fans of stadium rules about bags earlier in the day.
The game is sold out. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. The game is televised on ESPN.
