BATON ROUGE - The Mid City Redevelopment Alliance created three different mini parks in an effort to bring the community together and make the Mid City area more attractive.
"The idea that we can create a community space that brings the neighborhood together. It not only beautifies the neighborhood but then it adds population to a street that before everybody just drove past," said Lynley Farris, coordinator for MCRA.
Friday, the group set up shop at Baton Rouge General Hospital, Aladdin's Lamp Antiques and Radio Bar, all in the Mid City part of town.
