GET 2 MOVING - This week on Get 2 Moving, WBRZ's Lauren Hawkins spoke to doctors with the BR Cardiology Center to discuss heart health.
The most important thing to keeping your heart healthy is to stay active, said Dr. Lance LaMotte. Regular check-ups are also encouraged, especially if you know you are predisposed to certain heart diseases.
Heart disease, LaMotte continued, are the number one killer in the country with a death toll higher than cancer.
Physicians at the center say poor habits such as smoking and unhealthy eating can also contribute to heart disease.
