BATON ROUGE - The LSU baseball team couldn't muster up much offense Sunday and lost just their second game of the season.

The Tigers fell to Xavier, 2-1 in the series finale. LSU is now 14-2 this season.

Thatcher Hurd tossed five innings, allowing just one unearned run, and struck out nine for LSU.

The Tigers only had five hits and went a combined 1-for-21 with runners on base. LSU is back in action Tuesday at home against North Dakota State.
