LIVINGSTON PARISH - 2016 will start out with a council of new faces in Livingston Parish after the last standing councilman, Jim Norred Jr., lost to Garry Frog Talbert Saturday evening.

The race shaked out to a difference of 645 votes, for a percentage of 59 to 41 in favor of Talbert.

Chance Parent, Marshall Harris, Joan Landry, Ricky Goff, and Delos Blackwell will not be returning to the council following defeats last month.

Three other council members, Cindy Franz, Sonya Collins, and Ronny Sharp decided not to seek reelection.
