ASCENSION PARISH- West Edenborne Parkway will close Wednesday morning at La. Hwy. 44 because the road is not safe for anticipated rainy weather,according to the Sheriff's Office.

The road is under construction and driving on it in the rain could be dangerous. It will close at 7 a.m. and the Sheriff's Office said it will reopen as soon as it's safe.

Drivers who need to get to River Parish Community College, Alliance Safety Council or the Emerson service center can take La. Hwy. 30  to South St. Landry Road.
