Seven arrested for DWI in BR sobriety checkpoint
BATON ROUGE – Law enforcement officials say seven people were arrested Thursday in a DWI sobriety checkpoint on Perkins Road in Baton Rouge.
The Baton Rouge Police Department, East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office and Louisiana State Police staged the joint sobriety checkpoint in the 6200 block of Perkins Road between 11 p.m. to 3 a.m.
According to BRPD, 300 vehicles were screened, resulting in seven DWI arrests. Additionally, 23 field sobriety tests were conducted. Law enforcement also made four other arrests.
The results of the checkpoint are as follows:
