BATON ROUGE — The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office on Monday began investigating the suspected homicide of a woman on Mead Road near Interstate 12. 

Detectives responded to a call of a deceased woman at the Atlas at Foresthaven apartment complex around 11:30 a.m.

Deputies said they will provide updates as the investigation progresses.
