ST. AMANT - Authorities said a body of a woman found in a canal last week is that of Lisha Babin, 52, of Gonzales.

In an update a week later, deputies said the cause of death is still unknown but there were no signs of injury or trauma. Detectives are now waiting on a toxicology report.

The discovery was found in the water along Highway 431 in the St. Amant area.
