SATSUMA - Items from one of the most enviable addresses in Baton Rouge will be auctioned off Saturday.

In June, the Pennington Mansion on Highland Road sold for about $6 million after its asking price was cut in half. The house had once been listed for $18,000,000 and has been said to be one of the most expensive homes in the city.

Southern Heirs Auction will sell items that were once kept in the home.

On the company's website, pictures show some of the items that will be for sale. Antique furniture, bronze Tiffany lamps and rugs are among the hundreds of items that will be auctioned.

"This will be the largest and nicest sale that our company has ever sold," the company posted on its website.

The sale will be combined with one for an estate from New Orleans where jewelry is available. Diamond necklaces, rings and pearls will be sold.

There is a preview of the items on Friday afternoon and the sale is Saturday at Suma Hall in Satsuma.  The company suggests people reserve seating for the event.
