Coroner: Man dead after shooting on Wayne Drive
BATON ROUGE - A man who was shot in Wayne Drive near Winborne Avenue on April 22 has died, according to the East Baton Rouge Coroner.
The man, identified as 32-year-old Lorenzo Dixon, was found shot several times while sitting in a vehicle in a parking lot and was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries following the shooting, the Baton Rouge Police Department said. The shooting occurred in the 3300 block of Wayne Drive around 2:30 p.m.
The coroner's office confirmed Dixon's death on April 28.

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, an arrest has not been made at the time of this post, however charges for the shooting have been upgraded to second degree murder.
