Central school students to return Sept. 6; employees Sept. 1

CENTRAL – Central Community School System officials announced that students will return to school on Sept. 6 and employees will return on Sept. 1.

According to school officials, the school calendar will be adjusted to compensate for the missed days. School officials say that some schools will be have to be relocated until completely repaired. Tanglewood Elementary will take eight to 10 weeks to restore and students will be relocated to the Central Intermediate/Central Middle School campus.

School officials say there will be an opportunity to get free school uniforms and supplies before students return. Families can go to the Central High School gym on Sept. 3 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Parents will also have to opportunity to make a bus stop change request on Aug. 29 and 30 at the Central Intermediate School office area from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. According to school officials, Central buses will only run routes that are within the Central Community School System boundaries. Registration for new student will be also be held on Aug. 29 and 30th at the Central Middle School front office area between 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
