WHISKEY BAY - An unidentified body was found in Whiskey Bay Saturday afternoon, according to the Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff Brett Stassi confirmed deputies recovered the body of a younger woman that was dumped in the area recently. Investigators are currently treating the investigation as a homicide. 

Deputies say a local fisherman found the body Saturday afternoon and notified the Iberville Sheriff's Office. 

The case is under investigation and Stassi said investigators are working on some leads. No arrests have been made so far.
