Baton Rouge man charged with distribution of child porn
BATON ROUGE - Sheriff’s deputies in East Baton Rouge Parish arrested a man after an undercover operation revealed he was using the web to distribute child pornography from his Baton Rouge home.
On Sept. 15, a detective with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office and a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force conducted an undercover operation and determined that an IP address believed to be connected to 55-year-old Timothy Hill, of Baton Rouge, downloaded 33 complete files and 42 partial files containing images of pornography involving children. Hill’s IP address was also associated with a total of 694 files that were being shared via the internet.
Detectives said at least seven different nude photographs containing models ranging from 10 years of age to 15 years of age exposing their genitalia where the primary focus of some of the downloaded or images.
On Oct. 6, detectives contact internet service provider Cox Communications in reference to the IP address they were investigating and found it to be connected to Timothy Hill.
On Nov. 16, the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office Cyber Crime Unit and East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at Hill’s Major Oak Drive residence in Baton Rouge. They located a hard drive belonging to Hill where titles of files on the disk indicated the files contained child porn.
Investigators said Hill admitted to downloading and viewing the images of the nude children, and he confirmed that he is the only person that uses the hard drive agents confiscated during their search.

Hill was taken to the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison where he was booked on seven counts of distribution of pornography involving juveniles.
