Baton Rouge man accused of child pornography possession
BATON ROUGE - Police reported the arrest of a Baton Rouge man after a juvenile victim contacted officers and was able to show photographic evidence of child pornography on the suspect’s cell phone.
52-year-old Joseph Davis was booked on charges of video voyeurism and possession of pornography involving juveniles. Police also found that Davis had outstanding warrants from the EBR Sheriff’s Office for failure to register as a sex offender and failure to notify of change of address as a sex offender.
Officers went to Davis’ residence early Tuesday morning where the victim was able to show videos and pictures of herself without clothes on saved on the man’s cell phon while inside her residence. The victim told officers that the pictures and videos were taken without her consent.
Davis had changed addresses during the summer of 2014, but he failed to pay his community notification fees and then ceased contact with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender and Child Predator Unit.
