BATON ROUGE - Authorities say a group of armed robbers forced their way into a home overnight and made off with a number of stolen items.
The incident happened sometime after 1 a.m. Monday morning in the 16000 block of George O'Neal Road.
According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office, the victim opened the door of her home to find three men waiting outside. The group of men then pushed themselves inside the apartment, reportedly in search of a large amount of money they had heard the victim possessed.
The men then took a number of electronics and other items before fleeing the home. The sheriff's office says the men were last seen driving around in a newer model Nissan Sentra hatchback.
