GONZALES - Officials in Ascension Parish say the parish government will hold a Christmas tree drop-off event starting early next week.

The event will be held at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center, located at 9039 St. Landry Road in Gonzales, from Saturday, Jan. 2 through Sunday, Jan. 10.

Parish residents are advised to enter through the expo center’s main gate on St. Landry Road before proceeding to the drop-off locations which will be an unpaved area on the left side as residents enter the property.

Parish officials said trees must not have any decorations or stands left on them to be eligible for drop off.
