Arrest made in Zachary campus threat case
ZACHARY – A student at the public high school here is facing charges for a threat made against the school.
Police said they made the arrest last week. School officials advised parents and students about the arrest.
The student warned of an unsubstantiated threat related to the school day on the Tuesday after the Labor Day holiday. Police were notified about the situation by school officials, investigated the situation and made the arrest.
“[Zachary Police] does not feel there are any pending threats,” the school district said in a mass text message to parents. “ZPD and ALL school officials are taking extra precaution for ZHS's safety.”
The police department said the student arrested is a minor, so their name was not being revealed.
