ST. FRANCISVILLE- An assistant warden accused of rape at Angola met his accuser in court today. Next month, a grand jury will convene specifically to hear about his alleged actions.

The victim told WBRZ Chief Investigator Chris Nakamoto Barrett Boeker raped her while his wife and children were asleep in other bedrooms.

The alleged rape victim, who WBRZ chose not to identify, said the Boekers welcomed them into their home after the flood, but when Boeker's family was asleep, she claims Boeker came into her room and raped her.

WBRZ was the only station outside the courthouse in St. Francisville as Angola Assistant Warden Barrett Boeker exited the building. Boeker didn't utter a word.

"I'm failing nursing school, I can barely eat or sleep," she said.

The victim claims she had a rape kit administered and had no problem talking about what happened. She says Boeker raped her and turned her life upside down.

"It's sickening, so disturbing," she said. "What he did to me was so hard to write in a report. He's just disturbing."

She claims she went to authorities after finding out allegations of another rape from the assistant warden's wife.

"When I told his wife, she said she knew it was going to happen to me, because he had done it to I'm not going to say who," she said. "She was present with me at Woman's Hospital, she begged and pleaded with me not to go to law enforcement."

However, the victim did, and what happened next left her speechless. Last month, the Investigative Unit showed that questions were raised after Boeker managed to get two different bond reductions. Bonding information the WBRZ Investigative Unit obtained shows his bond was initially set at $200,000 by Judge William Carmichael. However, Boeker's bond went down to $173,000. Then a second reduction to $123,000 before he posted bond to get out.

"I'm not going to discuss the facts behind those bond reductions," Cy D'Aquilla, Boeker's attorney, said. "But, it's not uncommon for defendants to get several bond reductions."

Contrary to what he says, those in the legal community told WBRZ what happened is very uncommon. Nevertheless, D'Aquilla maintained his client's innocence.

"I'm not going to discuss any facts, but I'm letting you know my client is not guilty," D'Aquilla said.

Boeker's accuser is demanding that justice be served. She's speaking up because she knows in small parishes everyone knows one another.

Boeker remains on administrative leave. He is currently living in taxpayer funded housing at Angola, where the rape allegedly occurred. A grand jury will convene March 6.
