4 arrested in Denham Springs drug bust
DENHAM SPRINGS - Sheriff’s deputies arrested four and seized a variety of narcotics while executing a search warrant in Denham Springs Monday.
36-year-old Derek Ford, 31-year-old Sharon Painting and 46-year-old Toby Jarreau were arrested and booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center on drug and weapon charges. A fourth individual, Michael Ford, was charged with interfering with a law enforcement investigation, disturbing the peace and resisting an officer and has since been released from the LPDC.
Sheriff Jason Ard said his detectives seized 26 dosage units of ecstasy, 12.5 grams of crack cocaine, 4.5 grams of methamphetamine, 2 grams of marijuana, 4 grams of heroin, 54 dosage units of alprazolam, 37 dosage units of hydrocodone, 4 vials of naloxone, 20 dosage units of clonidine and a handgun while searching the residence, located in the 7400 block of Vincent Road.
$1,450 in cash and numerous items of drug paraphernalia were also located during the search, according to Ard.
