3 child porn arrests reported in Thibodaux and Slidell
BATON ROUGE - The Attorney General's Office reported Friday that its Cyber Crime Unit has made three more arrests in connection with incidents that victimized children.
50-year-old Douglas Benoit, of Thibodaux, was arrested Thursday on 200 counts of possession of child pornography. He was booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center.
22-year-old Garrett Sadler, of Thibodaux, was also arrested Thursday in an unrelated incident. Sadler was booked into the parish jail on six counts of possession of child porn.
50-year-old Timothy Kooney, of Slidell, was arrested Wednesday on 100 counts of possesion of child porn. He was booked into the Slidell City Jail.
All three arrests came at the end of joint investigations involving multiple parish sheriff's offices, the AG's Cyber Crime Unit and Homeland Security Investigations.

If convicted, each of the suspects faces up to 20 years in prison for each count of pornography involving juveniles.
