$25,000 available for whoever helps locate 2016 murder suspect
BATON ROUGE - A man wanted for a 2016 shooting in which he allegedly killed Kourtney "Koko" Thomas and seriously injured another landed him on the U.S. Marshals Most Wanted list.
"We adopted the case in 2016 to investigate his whereabouts, we have worked a good bit ever since," Josh Reich, Chief Deputy, US Marshal, said.
Leethel White, 46, known as Lee Lee, is wanted for first-degree murder and attempted murder. Deputies say they believe he was a part of the Big Money Block Boyz gang, known around Gardere.
On Jan. 9th 2016, Thomas and a friend took White to an apartment off of Burbank Ave. White went inside to get the drugs, but instead he came back with a gun.
"It appears based on the evidence collected, and what the EBR sheriff office collected, to be an execution style killing," Reich said.
Anyone who helps the US Marshal office arrest White will get a $25,000 cash, tax-free reward.
White was suspected to be in Atlanta, Georgia, but has connections in five states, including California and Texas.
